Originally from Arizona, Mrs. Barten is a graduate of Texas A&M University, where she met her husband, Jordan. She then began her teaching career in special education, first in the Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities (PPCD) and later as an Elementary Resource teacher.

After staying home with their three children, Mrs. Barten joined the Saint Anthony School staff in 2016, where she excels in teaching Reading, Language Arts, Religion, and Social Studies in the 3rd grade classroom. Mrs. Barten has a passion for cultivating relationships with her students that help foster not only a love for learning, but also a meaningful connection with God.

In her free time, she enjoys coaching her children’s sports teams, reading novels, attempting to grow a garden, and playing with her dog, Sweetie.
