Danette Cantu graduated from St. Anthony Catholic School in 1984 and Columbus High School in 1988. She spent her early teaching career in private education in Michigan while her husband, Ray, was in medical school. She also taught at St. Pius X Catholic School in Corpus Christi TX before moving back home to Columbus. Her job as a mom took precedence for a few years until Mr. O’Leary asked her to join the staff at St. Anthony eleven years ago. She teaches social studies to the 5th, 7th, and 8th grades along with Theology of the Body to the junior high.

Mrs. Cantu has been married to Ray for 30 years and has four children and two grandchildren. She loves spending time with her family, traveling, baking, reading, and relaxing at home.
